This app simplifies the tasks involved with weighing your tow vehicle and fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer with step-by-step instructions. The app is designed primarily for RV owners, outdoor recreationists, farmers and ranchers who tow fifth wheel or gooseneck trailers. The final report details 13 weighing points including 7 points indicating the safety margin or overload conditions by displaying red or green numbers. This app works on all mobile device sizes.
Our RV weight safety app guides you step-by-step on how to weigh your fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer and determines if you are towing safely below your weight safety ratings. Our app instructions provide additional glossary terms used in the industry and describe how to weigh at multiple platform scales, such as CAT Scales, and single axle scales.
View your weight safety report in 4 easy steps:
-Step 1: Enter your vehicles' certification weight ratings.
-Step 2: Weigh your vehicle with your fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer attached and enter the required weight data.
-Step 3: Weigh your vehicle without your fifth wheel or gooseneck trailer attached and enter the required weight data.
-Step 4: View the results of your Weight Safety Report.
Are you towing below the load ratings?
The RV Safety and Education Foundation data indicates that 60% of all tow vehicles and 55% of all 5th wheel trailers exceed one or more weight safety ratings.
Ensure you're not the one exceeding a load rating.
The number one most-reported RV insurance claim is the result of damage from the sudden release of air from tires, otherwise known as a blowout.
An overloaded tire or underinflated tire can cause a sudden loss of air, also known as a blowout.
When towing a trailer, it’s crucial to ensure that the load is distributed evenly as possible.
You want to make sure that all necessary safety precautions have been taken to prevent an accident or a blowout.
Even a slight overload, or unequal weight distribution, can seriously restrict the vehicle’s braking and steering capabilities.
Higher fuel consumption and driver fatigue are also common side effects of traveling with an overloaded and poor-handling trailer.
Install this app and weigh your rig soon to achieve safer towing for you, your family, and all on the road.
